Do Social Networking Sites Work ?

1 Do Social Networking Sites Work ?

I’ve tried a lot of services out there from Digg to stumbleupon to del.icio.us as well as non-mainstream ones like slash-dot , d-zone , design float.

After a while its the same candy bar but just wrapped in a different candy wrapper.

The whole process of trying to get your own blog, website or whatever kind of site your promoting to the front page isn’t worth it, so much valuable time is wasted. Trust me I’ve been there and done that , it’s something that won’t give you self-sustaining results.

So check out these slides I’ve made explaining my take on Social networking sites. (This may be viewed as a satire)

You Have a website to promote. Is Google Your only option?

120+ Breathtaking Windows 7 Wallpapers

Windows 7 RC (7000 build) is here & I am just amazed by it’s speed &  the overall efficiency of the O.S. , my faith in Microsoft is back (thank god).

For those of you who’ve been living in a cave for the past 8-12 months you REALLY should give it a try if you have the time.

Anyways I have looked all over the Internet for High Resolution wallpapers for the Windows 7 Desktop.

Every Windows 7 will be able to enjoy the wallpapers regardless of resolution because they will be able to scale down.

All wallpapers listed here are 1920px × 1200 resolution or higher. Also be sure to check out Vadex.NET for Programming needs

**** To Save the wallpapers , click on the wallpaper of your choice , let it load and then right click > save image as . . . , then save it to wherever you want it to be. ****

Summer Time Laptops for Web Designers

laptops Summer Time Laptops for Web Designers

With summer almost here let’s look at some of the latest laptops that will help you while your on the go. So I’ve compiled a list of some of the nicest laptops I personally would buy, with the intentions of graphics designing and a little bit of gaming.

Plan out your purchase !

One tip of advice that you should always follow when purchasing your new laptop is make sure the graphics card is pretty dam good. By pretty dam good I mean it has to be useful for at least a year and a half to 3 years. Technology improves fast , although ram can be upgraded easily most graphic cards on laptops can’t !

As a designer I’ll be frank with you , On average most of the time on my laptop I have at least 20 tabs open in Firefox , 20 more in Chrome , Photoshop , Fireworks Dreamweaver , Msn & Aim as well as an MP3 player of some sort playing in the background! So if you use your computer like I do then you’ll probably want 4gb ram minimum running on an 64-bit OS.

I’ve broken the laptop list into 2 categories , One for the designer on the go who always has to be lugging around their laptop , Two for the designers such as myself that wants a laptop powerful enough to suffice as a desktop replacement and don’t mind a 17inch+ LCD screen. Personally I can’t wait to upgrade my Vaio FZ to an 18 inch desktop replacement. I love laptops with big shiny screens.

Enjoy the Top Summer Time Laptops for Designers!

The big bonus for designers who need photoshop on the go . . . Nvidia GeForce 9300m GS chip. Need I say more ?
