This is if you keep getting server 500 errors or 500 Internal Server Error using Wordpress or any other CMS and you’re wondering why this problem happens. It is in fact a Permissions Error and If you are running windows 2008 and need to fix this problem.

Just go to Wherever your site is located on the hard drive, right click on the folder–>Properties–>Security Tab–>Edit–>Add–>And what you need to add is IUSR, give IUSR Read/Write Permissions to the files that are giving you the error.

Usually I just have wp-content only and that should take care of any server 500 problems on windows server. If you are computer savvy I will show you in the next entry on how to use procman to figure out any other permission problems and how to solve them.
