Web Design Resources & Tutorials to help you design the best website!

Have you ever wondered how much your site is worth if you had to attach a dollar sign to it ? Myself included as well as many others in the world have asked this question over and over again.
“How do we monetize intangible factors such as the amount of blood , sweat , tears and the countless lost hours of sleep that HAVE been put into your website.”
Oh not to forget to mention the traffic and goodwill you have for your website’s real estate.
Personally I do not think that not any one source is accurate enough to tell you the exact net worth of your domain real estate. So that is why I’m suggesting a formula taking the final result of the following websites that I am about to list and average them together for figuring your net worth , while comparing prices to your own judgment.
1) Estibot.com – This seems to be the first website many come to for their appraisal needs of domain name , What I like about this website is that it also appraises the amount of traffic your website brings in.

2) DnScoop - This is another good appraisal site , the only difference between this site and the first I listed is that depending on the amount of traffic you bring , it gives you suggestions as to how much you could be charging to put an advertisement on your website on a monthly basis.

3) CubeStats – This is a Great site I found , it shows you a lot of detail in a neatly oriented fashion for info such as which pages on your site get indexed , it also shows you daily page views and ad revenue ( from google adsense I believe)

4) Smarter Pagerank - I like this site as it also has a few SEO tools to help you boost your pagerank as well as explain how it is broken down, asides from this factor it seems to show you similar results that DnScoop shows you only using different variables in it’s formula.

My site's estimated calculated value is usually around 30,000 but there are some conflicting evaluations. One site said $15, 000 and another said 17,000. I am new to this. I had fun using all of your suggested appraisal tools!

I think everyone will experience an extreme high and an extreme conservative value when it comes time to appraising your website. It's just a good idea to take a modest average , as well as including your own values on what you think the website should be sold for.

I have three domains:
http://www.WJBHomeLoan.com
http://www.FinestExpert.com
http://www.SanDiegosFinestRealEstate.com
so far, the tools I have used do not come up with any sort of consistent answer as to value. Is there some well defined appraisal valuation formula that we can all agree on and use?

Keep searching for multiple domain appraise tools and over time you should get a general idea what your overall value is perhaps by taking an average and not include extreme values. For example if 3 tools are saying it is worth between 5-10 dollars and then the 4th tool says your site is worth 10 million dollars then don’t include the 4th tool in part of your valuation.
