Web Design Resources & Tutorials to help you design the best website!

Fall is coming & it’s coming fast. Lucky for you current or soon-to-be phone buyers the options are abundantly varied thanks to companies such as Nokia , LG & most notably as of late is the popular Korean based company HTC. What truly amazes me is the speed at which our technology in today’s world improves. I still remember how Motorola’s Razr was 599.99 WITH contract when it first came out and it was the “IT ITEM” of the year.
Fast forward 4 years later and 24+ variations of the handset including the much publicized 24 Karot Gold Dolce & Gabanna edition of the Razr. Let’s face it anyone still carrying this handset is going to get laughed at , it’s nothing more than a girl’s fashion accessory to match their shoes. I say this because handsets similar to the clamshell phone lack features many features that people need in everyday life such as Wi-Fi & fast internet browsing capabilities.
Personally I can’t live without built in Gps via TomTom or I’ll end up severely lost. Other benefits to purchasing smartphones is the ability to playback high quality mp3’s n’ also use their phone as an mp3 player. The obvious features that smartphones have over Razrs is the advantage of having a full fledged keyboard with a touch screen. Top that Clamshell Design !

There are 2 phones that have caught my eye personally some of you may have heard of the coming of the “Google Phone” using Android earlier this year. Well you are all right , apprently google has teamed up with Phone Manufacturer HTC to produce the phone named the “HTC Dream”. Here are a few pictures I found on the internet for you.

The interface of Google’s Android operating system is heralded as the Iphone killer. According to the website Android Community T-mobile will be announcing the Android-powered G1, aka the HTC Dream , other estimates include a possible (but not yet confirmed) price tag of $199 with a 2 – year contract for existing T-mobile customers. HTC is expected to ship between 600,000 to 700,000 units by the end of Q3 early Q4.
Here are some extra specs I pulled from GIZMODO for the HTC Dream. (There are more specs on their sites , I only listed the cool ones)
- 528 MHz Qualcomm 7201 CPU
- 64 MB
- 1GB microSD
- 3.1 MP Camera
- 3G Standard
- Quad-Band GSM
- Wifi / Bluetooth
The second phone that has had me going absolutely NUTZ has been the Pocket Pc named the “HTC Diamond” , this bad boy is the successor to last year’s hit “AT&T’s TILT” aka HTC Kaiser. There are rumors that this phone has announced to launch with Sprint/Nextel , T-Mobile as well as AT&T. The names that are possible release under different names for their own carriers accordingly. Touch Pro , FUZE , Diamond. (Personally I think it is sad that the carrier has to change an already great name for a phone.)
Here are some extra specs I pulled from mobilemedia’s site for the HTC Diamond . (There are more specs on their sites , I only listed the cool ones)
- Full QWERTY keyboard
- 3.2 MP Camera
- 4.0 GB built-in memory
- Built-in-Gps Can run Google Maps / TomTom Navigator
- 3G comes standard ( pretty sad that the Iphone couldn’t include this in their initial launch )
- FM RADIO BUILT IN ( this is a major update from last year’s TILT , Bravo HTC ! )
- Wifi / Bluetooth
- Built in Microwave ! (Okay I lied about the last one, But this is one hell of a phone)
Check out the beauty
